But to maintain that the devil has power to change human bodies or to do them permanent harm does not seem in accordance with the teaching of The Church. - The Malleus Maleficarum

Most probably many of you out there have already heard of this quartet coming from the French lands...Kabbal have made a huge step forward with a crushing debut "Synthetically Revived" released on Diamond Producions. We've just asked a couple of questions these guys to make some things clear...:

1. Hello guys! I wanted to congratulate you signing for Diamond Productions and releasing such a crushing album! How are You doing these days?
Hi metal brothers! Since we've signed with Diamond Prod we have an endless motivation. We concentrated ourselves on finding new riffs and preparing the next concerts.

2. Synthetically Revived sounds to me as a debut many bands could just envy... Are you pleased with the outcome?
Yes, we are. Our album received some eulogistic reviews, and we're proud of Diamond Productions that assured a good promotion.

3. On Synthetically Revived we get songs from Your demos - no wonder Extra Sensorial Journey comes first on the debut - being an opener on Your Heretic demo, that opened You the way to a record deal... What would be Your favorite song?
That's right. Jérome of Diamond Prod wanted absolutely we began the album with his favorite song "extra sensorial journey". I enjoy the last song"psychotic democracy" because of its mid tempo first part but the song I prefer is "Scientific War" which is diversified but violent.

4. What can You tell us about the cooperation with Diamond Production? The promotion they're doing for Synthetically Revived seems really good, are you pleased with the promotion given? Were You not afraid signing with a new label?
Signing with a new label was hazardous but we were not able to sign with a major one. So, we've chosen them because our success enthusiasmed them as much as we. Now we can say that it was the right solution because Diamond really ensured a great promotion and allowed Kabbal to go out from its rehearsal room.

5. How has been the response to Your debut worldwide?
There are some encouraging reviews especially in Germany. We look forward to come playing to your country and drink a lot of beer!

6. Were You kind of expecting it?
No, of course! We just hoped for it. Now we only must play on stage: the rest doesn't concern direct the band.

7. How did You get J. Wisniewski to do the cover work for Your debut album? I guess many bands out there would just love the get that pleasure...
Oh, it was not so hard! Jason realized the Vader's covers. We wished an appropriate cover for presenting our texts and music. Then we met him on his website and chose that drawing.

8. We don't get much of death metal bands that would conquer the world coming out of France these days... Do You see that as a good opportunity for Kabbal?
Perhaps? But I think that there are a lot of powerfull death metal bands in France as "Imperial Sodomy","InnerFeuds" and "Carnal Lust"...I prefer that all the scene emerge...with Kabbal as leader Ha!Ha!

9. The material recorded on Synthetically Revived show Your influences coming from the US death metal school... What music are You into these days, and what would be bands that have influenced You most over the years?
We are very fond of Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Deicide and all the bands from Florida but we also like the techno-death bands as Cynic, Nocturnus, Atheist...
Some trash bands like Slayer or Megadeth have influenced our way of playing guitar. Do you know Cacophony and its album "Speed metal symphony"? This kind of music brought Kabbal another vision of Death Metal.

10. How do You see the attacks on the death metal throne and it's future after the latest releases from Hate Eternal and Nile receiving highest notes all over the world..?
These bands are great and we enjoy them. They proved that the death metal is an high style and has no limit.Tomorrow some other bands will replace them on the throne of brutality and will push back the technique in their turn.

11. Well, to keep up with the Diabolous.com tradition hehe... I'd like to ask You how do You feel about all this mass hypnosis the church has worked over the people for all these centuries?
     Religion doesn't interest us

12. What aspects of common life You hate most?
The aspect of common life I hate most is working! What a nice shit! People are obliged to work during their all life, that's why we are trashers.

13. What would be the first thing You would change on today's metal scene if You only could?
I would create a subaquatic city which would be the Temple of Death Metal.

14. Are any of you involved in any other bands besides Kabbal?
I also play with Devilium which is a death metal band and XZ plays with Lord Of Mushroom,a prog' band.

15. What other bands could You mention that are struggling these days to come out to the world from Your area? Any band worth checking out?
Our friends from Imperial Sodomy, Bëlëf, Devilium and Morg.

16. You've already started working on Your next album!? Can You tell us anything about that? Would it be also released through Diamond Productions? When are we to expect it?
The next album will be also released through Diamond. We are working on three new songs. There are more blast-beat and the instrumental breaks are better made. The voice will be more present. But it's too early to speak about it.

17. So what are You plans with the band right now?
We hope to play on some festivals this year and continue growing.

Thanks a lot for the interview guys! Best of luck for You with the promotion of Synthetically Revived, wish You many huge live performances and we'll be awaiting Your next album! Would You like to add anything to sum up this interview?
     Thanks to you Diabolous.
